Beirut: Prime Minister Nawwaf Salam told Kuwait's Al-Anbaa newspaper: "The Cabinet's approval of the Financial Gap Law is a gateway to rescue and reform, carried out with full transparency to restore depositors' rights, which they've been waiting on for years." According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam emphasized the importance of Parliament's role by stating, "The ball is now in Parliament's court, and we respect all opinions." This underscores the critical next steps needed for the law's implementation and the restoration of financial stability. He also highlighted the government's focus on timely parliamentary elections, asserting, "We are now focused on holding parliamentary elections on time. The government is fully prepared and committed to ensuring they take place." This statement reflects the administration's commitment to maintaining democratic processes and stability. Further, Salam reassured citizens of the Cabinet's ongoing dedication to its responsibilities, covering a wide range of sectors. "The Cabinet continues to carry out its duties across political, diplomatic, economic, social, health, and educational matters, everything that concerns citizens and supports their dignity and livelihood," the PM concluded.
