France Ends Morocco’s World Cup Run, Reaches Semi-Finals

France: France booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 victory over Morocco, ending the Atlas Lions' campaign for the second consecutive tournament after also eliminating them at the same stage in 2022.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Captain Kylian Mbapp© opened the scoring in the 60th minute before setting up Ousmane Demb©l© for the second six minutes later, despite having an earlier penalty saved by Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

France will face the winner of Spain and Belgium in Tuesday's semi-final in Dallas. Mbapp© moved level with Lionel Messi on eight goals in the tournament, while Morocco struggled in the absence of injured forward Ismael Saibari.
