Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Thursday received French Ambassador to Lebanon Herv© Magro, who delivered a set of historical documents and maps from the French archives related to the Lebanese-Syrian border.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the handover comes in response to an official Lebanese request and in fulfillment of a promise made by French President Emmanuel Macron to Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun during his recent visit to Paris. The documents are expected to aid Lebanon in its efforts to demarcate its land border with Syria.
