Nabatieh: Israeli warplanes launched a large-scale aerial assault on the Nabatieh region in southern Lebanon, initiating a series of heavy airstrikes starting at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday. The strikes were conducted in two waves, targeting valleys, highlands, and wooded areas between the towns of Kfar Tibnit, Upper Nabatieh, and Kfar Reman.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the airstrikes were concentrated on the Ali al-Taher forest and a former archaeological site. The powerful explosions from the bombardment were heard throughout much of Nabatieh and the surrounding South region, causing panic among the residents.
The intensity of the attack prompted many residents to rush to local schools to evacuate their children, leading to chaos and severe traffic congestion on the main roads. In response to the escalating situation, dozens of ambulances were dispatched to the targeted areas. The security concerns also forced most government offices in the region to close.
