Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday received French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro, at Baabda Palace. The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation in the country and the renewal of UNIFIL’s mandate.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Ambassador Magro informed President Aoun that French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian will visit Lebanon in the coming days. Le Drian has been commissioned by French President Emmanuel Macron to follow up on developments and prepare for two significant conferences: one focused on Lebanon’s reconstruction and the other in support of the Lebanese Army.
