Beirut: Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea has declared that the Beirut port explosion will remain a significant event in collective memory, even six decades after the incident.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Geagea made a statement on the sixth anniversary of the blast, extending his condolences to the victims' families. He stated that this year's main consolation lies in the assurance from senior judicial authorities that an indictment in the case is expected in the coming months. This development is seen as a critical step towards initiating trials and administering appropriate punishment for those deemed responsible.
Geagea emphasized that the case would persist as long as there are individuals advocating for justice. He highlighted his and his party's determination to uphold justice and uncover the truth, asserting their commitment to ensuring accountability for the tragedy.
