Beirut: Lebanon’s General Security Directorate on Wednesday announced in a statement that it will oersee the third phase of the goernment’s organized plan for the return of Syrian refugees.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the process will be carried out through the Masnaa border crossing with Syria, in coordination with the Syrian authorities and in partnership with UNHCR, IOM, the Lebanese Red Cross, and humanitarian organizations.

The designated gathering point for participants has been set at Karantina – Souk al-Shaabi, starting at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday. The initiatie is part of ongoing efforts by the Lebanese goernment to facilitate safe and coordinated refugee returns.
