General Security Rescues Syrian Family Held in Nabaa


Nabaa: Lebanon’s General Security on Friday said it rescued a Syrian family that had been held inside a building in the Nabaa area following a financial dispute. Acting on information provided by the Syrian Embassy in Beirut, General Security raided the location and secured the release of the family, consisting of a woman and five children. Authorities have launched an investigation under the supervision of the competent judiciary to identify and arrest those responsible.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the rescue operation was initiated after receiving crucial information from the Syrian Embassy. The swift action by General Security highlights the ongoing efforts of Lebanese authorities to address cases involving foreign nationals in distress. The family had been reportedly held against their will due to unresolved financial matters, prompting the intervention.



The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances that led to the family’s detainment and to bring the perpetrators to justice. General Security emphasized the importance of cooperation between Lebanon and Syria in resolving issues affecting Syrian nationals residing in Lebanon. The incident underscores the challenges faced by Syrian families in Lebanon, often caught in complex legal and financial situations.
