Beirut: Labour Minister, Mohammad Haidar, on Thursday condemned the Israeli strike in Tayri that killed journalist Amal Khalil and injured Zeinab Faraj, describing it as a "deliberate field execution" targeting journalists at work.
According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, Haidar stated that the attack reflects a systematic policy to silence media and eliminate witnesses to violations against civilians. He emphasized the need to address this issue on an international level.
Haidar called for elevating the matter internationally, urging legal action before the International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice, and activating UN human rights mechanisms. He also appealed to global rights groups and press freedom organizations to document the crime and push for accountability.
