Beirut: Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, announced via the Ministry's Facebook page that he held a meeting with a delegation from Beirut, which included mukhtars, lawyers, and prominent figures. The delegation expressed their commitment to the rule of law and condemned the violence and gunfire that transpired during a raid in the Saqiyat al-Janzir area of Beirut.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar emphasized the importance of maintaining security and stability in the capital during this critical period. He noted that awareness and restraint are essential in protecting Beirut and ensuring the safety of its residents.
Hajjar further stated that he will be coordinating with the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister to follow up on the incident, with the aim of preserving security and ensuring adherence to the law. He called on the residents of Beirut to reopen roads and cooperate in efforts to secure and stabilize the city.
