Hajjar Holds Talks on Local Development, Beirut Affairs and Transport Sector

Beirut: Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Hajjar held a series of meetings on Thursday to discuss local development, municipal affairs and the transport sector. Hajjar met MP Bilal Abdallah and a delegation of community representatives from Haret El Naameh, with discussions focusing on the area's overall situation, as well as development and public service needs and ways to address them.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Hajjar also met Beirut Governor Judge Marwan Abboud to review issues affecting the capital, its residents' needs, and the administrative and security measures aimed at maintaining safety and stability in Beirut.

Separately, Hajjar received Bassam Tleis, head of Lebanon's federations and unions of the land transport sector and the Amal Movement's central official for municipal and mukhtar affairs. The meeting addressed the challenges facing the transport sector, in addition to a number of municipal and local governance issues.
