Beirut: The Palestinian group Hamas has announced it is mourning Iran’s supreme leader following his death, which it claims occurred during a US-Israeli attack described as “heinous” by the group. In its statement, Hamas highlighted the leader’s critical role in providing political, diplomatic, and military support to the Palestinian cause and resistance efforts.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Hamas has condemned the actions of the US administration and Israel, holding them accountable for what it terms a blatant aggression and a crime against Iran’s sovereignty. The group also warned of severe consequences for the security and stability of the region due to this incident.

Hamas further called upon Arab and Muslim nations to recognize their political, legal, and historical duty to respond swiftly and decisively. The group emphasized the importance of coordinated action in the wake of this event, urging these countries to take a firm stand against the aggression.
