Nabatieh: As part of his southern tour today, Labor Minister Mohammad Haydar visited the home of Nabatieh’s imam, Abdul Hussein Sadiq, who welcomed the minister and wished him success in addressing the needs of people suffering from the consequences of the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. Sadiq also paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the Lebanese people and called for support to facilitate the return of displaced residents.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Haydar stated that the government is working to support southern Lebanon and is engaging with the international community to pressure Israel to halt its daily attacks. He added that the Cabinet has adopted a plan to support the return of residents to their villages and provide housing.
MPs Hani Qbeissi and Kassem Hashem spoke about the hardships faced by southerners, urging the government to take the necessary measures to help them remain on their land and strengthen their resilience. They also asked the labor minister to convey his observations to the Cabinet.
Haydar later toured Nabatieh’s market, which sustained extensive destruction, and visited Marj Harouf and Zebdine to assess the damage firsthand. He pledged to work through the Cabinet to provide assistance to those affected.
