IAEA Ready to Define Technical Steps for U.S.-Iran Nuclear Agreement

Geneva: The International Atomic Energy Agency on Thursday has expressed readiness to begin outlining the practical measures required under any future nuclear agreement between the United States and Iran. Speaking in Geneva, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said the next phase would involve detailed discussions with American and Iranian counterparts to define the concrete implementation steps required under the newly signed memorandum of understanding.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Grossi described the process as highly complex and requiring extensive technical detail, while welcoming the memorandum's explicit recognition of the IAEA's indispensable role in monitoring and verification. "I think reaching the memorandum of understanding is a positive development," Grossi said, adding that "the technical work now begins."
