Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar Evaluates Security Innovations in Kuwait

Beirut: Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar visited Sunday Kuwait's General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents and the Criminal Security Sector as part of his official visit to the Gulf state.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Al-Hajjar was accompanied by Internal Security Forces Director General, Major General Raed Abdallah, General Security Director General, Major General Hassan Choucair, Acting Director General of Personal Status Roudayna Mere'eb, and Lebanon's Ambassador to Kuwait Ghadi Khoury. During the visit, Hajjar was briefed on Kuwait's passport issuance system, with a focus on the development of its biometric e-passport and the advanced technologies employed to meet international security standards.

Minister Hajjar and his delegation subsequently engaged with officials from the Criminal Security Sector to discuss bilateral cooperation and the exchange of expertise in crime prevention, investigations, and the utilization of smart technologies. The talks also addressed anti-narcotics strategies and efforts to combat drug smuggling and trafficking, with both parties emphasizing the importance of ongoing security cooperation and intelligence sharing.

Hajjar commended Kuwait's technological advancements and the high standard of its security performance, applauding the Interior Ministry's initiatives to modernize its security system.
