International Media Delegation Arrives in Beirut for 2012 Olympiad

Beirut: The International Media Organization, led by Damien Dejardin, arrived in Beirut on Thursday to participate in the 2012 International Media Olympiad. The event is scheduled to take place in the Lebanese capital from October 18 to 25.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the Olympiad will host more than 300 journalists from 25 European and Arab countries. Participants are expected to engage in a week-long series of media, tourism, cultural, and sportive activities. The event is being organized by the Eastern Club for Civilizations Dialogue (ECCD) in collaboration with the Lebanese Information Ministry and is under the patronage of the Lebanese President.

Upon his arrival at Beirut International Airport, the head of the ECCD emphasized the significance of the Lebanese-European ties and the shared customs and traditions between the regions.
