Beirut: The Foreign Affairs Department of the Lebanese Kataeb Party on Tuesday condemned a missile attack targeting one of the world's largest oil storage facilities in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, on Monday, along with an assault on the Sultanate of Oman.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the department's statement emphasized that the missile attacks on Emirati and Omani territories were hostile acts and blatant violations of international law and principles of good neighborly relations. The incidents were described as dangerous and unjustified escalations threatening the security and stability of the entire region.
The department attributed full responsibility to Iran, labeling the actions as aggressive conduct. It further stated that the continued escalation of such attacks reflects what it called Tehran's "disruptive project" aimed at targeting peaceful neighboring states.
Reaffirming the Kataeb Party's solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, the statement expressed support for both nations, their leaderships, and their peoples in the face of repeated attacks. It also underscored their legitimate right to take necessary measures to safeguard their sovereignty and protect their national security.
