Beirut: Iran on Monday held the United States responsible for the resumption of hostilities in the Middle East, as Iran and Israel exchanged strikes for the first time since the ceasefire that took effect on April 8.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said at his weekly press conference that "no one believes the Zionist regime would undertake any action without prior coordination and cooperation with the United States."
Baghaei added that "the actions of the Zionist regime in the region cannot be separated from US policies," accusing Washington of bearing responsibility for the latest escalation.
