Beirut: Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, on Thursday stated upon his arrival at Beirut airport that his visit will include meetings with the president of the republic, the parliament, the government, and the foreign minister. The primary agenda for these meetings is to discuss regional and international matters.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Araghchi highlighted the unprecedented challenges facing the region, noting that in the past two years, seven countries, including Lebanon and Iran, have faced attacks from Israel. He emphasized that parts of Lebanon remain under occupation.

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that Israel is violating its commitments under the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon. He mentioned that Iran is maintaining ongoing consultations with regional governments and stressed the significance of his visit at this particular time, aiming to enhance bilateral relations.

Furthermore, Araghchi mentioned that trade between Iran and Lebanon amounted to $110 million over the past year, indicating the potential for further growth. He reaffirmed Iran's commitment to strengthening ties with Lebanon, based on mutual interests, respect, and support for Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity.
