IRGC Warns of Severe Retaliation Against Further US Aggression

Beirut: The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) released a statement on Sunday announcing that its Naval and Aerospace forces launched a joint missile and drone operation targeting US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for recent US attacks on five Iranian coastal sites.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the IRGC stressed, "Vessels found to be in violation of the agreed arrangements would face stricter measures than before, and that any new act of aggression by the enemy, regardless of its justification or the scale of its targets, would be met with a crushing response."

The statement detailed that "between 2 am and 3 am on Sunday, June 28, the IRGC's Naval and Aerospace Forces carried out a joint operation using ballistic missiles and drones, targeting eight US military sites and facilities at Ali al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet at Mina Salman in Bahrain, destroying them in retaliation for the recent US attacks."

It further recalled that the "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding stipulates that maritime monitoring arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz are to be coordinated with the Islamic Republic of Iran."

The statement concluded by stressing that "any violation of the ceasefire would constitute a violation of the first provision of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and would result in the suspension of all related tracks."
