Jordan Grants Import Licenses for Lebanese Lemons Starting May 10

Amman: The Ministry of Agriculture in the Kingdom of Jordan has announced a significant development in its trade relations with Lebanon by deciding to grant import licenses for all types of Lebanese lemons, with the policy taking effect from May 10, 2025. Imported quantities will be permitted to enter the country starting on this date. The Ministry has also initiated the process of accepting import applications, which began on Saturday, and will continue until the end of Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, this decision is the result of the diligent efforts by Lebanese Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani, who has been working closely with his Jordanian counterpart, Minister Khaled Hneifat. Hani expressed his gratitude towards Hneifat for his proactive approach and quick action, emphasizing that “this step constitutes real support for the Lebanese agricultural sector and contributes to strengthening agricultural relations between the two brotherly countries.”
