KING ABDULLAH II RECEIVES AKAR, CONFIRMS THE KINGDOM’S SUPPORT FOR LEBANON

Jordan’s Monarch Abdullah II received today Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Zeina Akar, during her official visit to Jordan, whereby he affirmed “the Kingdom’s support to Lebanon and its readiness to help in various fields”, expressing Jordan’s regret for the “tragic incident that occurred in the Akkar region”, and offering condolences over the fallen victims while hoping for a speedy recovery for the injured.

In turn, Minister Akar confirmed that “King Abdullah expressed his country’s readiness to transfer a number of the wounded to Jordan for immediate treatment,” according to her media office.
