Aleppo: Large displacement is currently unfolding in the city of Aleppo, located in northwestern Syria, with significant crowding reported at the city’s entrance heading toward the Al-Safira area in the south. This development comes following the spread of militants within Aleppo’s neighborhoods.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the situation has been further complicated by armed factions gaining control over the city of Maarat al-Numan in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, as well as the ‘Abu al-Duhur’ airport in eastern Aleppo and its surrounding countryside. These strategic locations have become focal points of tension, exacerbating the already volatile situation.
Adding to the complexity, the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan highlighted that joint Syrian-Russian airstrikes have been targeting terrorist sites on the outskirts of Jisr al-Shughur, west of Idlib Governorate. These raids are part of ongoing efforts to regain control and suppress militant activities in the region.
