Beirut: Lebanon's Ambassador to Malaysia, Maher Khair, accompanied by former Secretary-General of the Higher Defense Council Major General Mohammad Khair, visited Army Commander General Rodolphe Heikal at his office at the Ministry of National Defense, where they discussed a number of files and issues of mutual interest.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting addressed bilateral relations between Lebanon and Malaysia and ways to strengthen and develop them at various levels, particularly in the political, diplomatic, security, and military fields. They also discussed the importance of expanding areas of cooperation and exchanging expertise in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
The meeting also touched on the role the Lebanese community in Malaysia could play in strengthening ties between the two countries, as well as the importance of activating economic, cultural, and development relations to help open new avenues for joint cooperation.
