Washington:Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi met with the Lebanese-American Coordination Committee (LACC) in Washington to discuss Lebanon's current state and the committee's advocacy activities with the US administration and Congress. According to National news agency - Lebanon, Raggi informed the delegation about his latest discussions with US officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, various members of Congress, and White House officials. He also spoke about his meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The LACC provided Raggi with a memorandum highlighting three main priorities supporting a US-sponsored state-led Lebanese-Israeli negotiation process, establishing the Lebanese state's exclusive authority over weapons and decisions of war and peace, and expediting institutional and economic reforms while enhancing diaspora involvement. The committee reiterated its backing for Lebanese state institutions and expressed willingness to collaborate with the Foreign Ministry on US outreach and engaging the Lebanese diaspora.
