Lebanon, Italy Sign Agricultural MoU to Boost Sector Recovery

Rimini: Agriculture Minister, Nizar Hani, on Thursday continued his Italy visit, participating in the Macfrut exhibition in Rimini, where Lebanon and Italy signed an agricultural memorandum of understanding following prior talks with Italian Minister Francesco Lollobrigida.

According to National Nws Aency - Lebanon, Hani highlighted that the war had damaged 22.5% of Lebanon's agriculture, impacting production and food security. The newly signed MoU centers on enhancing product quality, adhering to export standards, fostering rural development, and promoting fisheries and technical cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the agreement as a crucial step to support recovery, enhance sustainability, and strengthen the competitiveness of Lebanese agricultural products. This collaboration aims to facilitate the sector's recovery and ensure better resilience against future challenges.
