Nabatieh:MP Fouad Makhzoumi expressed his support for Prime Minister Nawaf Salam's visit to Nabatieh, highlighting the importance of reactivating state institutions in the area.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Makhzoumi emphasized the aspirations of the residents for security, the ability to return to their homes, and achieving a dignified life. He underscored the need for the state to fully assume its responsibilities towards the South and its people.

Makhzoumi stressed that the people of the South deserve a state that protects them, rebuilds their communities, and ensures the future of their children. He criticized the influence of Hezbollah's weapons and decisions and the impact of Iran's calculations and regional settlements on their lives.

He called for restoring the state's exclusive control over arms and the decisions of war and peace, viewing it as essential for regaining sovereignty. Makhzoumi also mentioned the necessity of halting Israeli aggression and ending the occupation.

He concluded by supporting actions that restore the state's authority and citizens' confidence, advocating for concrete actions and clear timelines following the visit to ensure security and enable the return of residents.
