Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, met with Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki at Baabda Palace on Tuesday. Following the discussions, Minister Makki emphasized the state and its legitimate institutions as the ultimate guarantors of Lebanon's protection and sovereignty.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Minister Makki addressed the pressing issue of ongoing Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. He stressed the necessity of intensifying efforts to halt these aggressions to protect Lebanon and its citizens. Moreover, Makki highlighted the importance of supporting the Lebanese Army, advocating for a strengthened military presence, and underscoring the need for unity under the state's authority to safeguard the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Makki also briefed President Aoun on the progress at the Ministry of State for Administrative Development. Key topics included the ministry's restructuring process and digital transformation efforts. Makki discussed the World Bank loan aimed at supporting these digital initiatives and the overall development of public services, reflecting the ministry's commitment to reform and modernization in Lebanon.
