Bkerki: The Maronite Foundation in the World has condemned what it described as malicious campaigns targeting Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara al-Rai. This condemnation followed a meeting with the patriarch in Bkerki.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the delegation expressed that insults against religious figures undermine national and spiritual values. They warned against continued incitement and emphasized the importance of respecting religious authorities. The foundation also highlighted the church’s role in sheltering displaced people from southern Lebanon and promoting peace in the region.

During the meeting, the foundation briefed Patriarch Rahi on ongoing efforts related to the Lebanese nationality restoration law and initiatives aimed at the diaspora. The patriarch praised the foundation’s work in strengthening ties between Lebanese expatriates and their homeland, recognizing its significant contribution to national unity and identity.
