Bkerki: Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, on Friday received French Ambassador to Lebanon Herv© Magro at the patriarchal seat in Bkerki on a farewell visit marking the end of his three-year diplomatic mission. Rahi praised Magro’s diplomatic engagement, describing him as an ambassador who genuinely loved Lebanon and built strong ties with its diverse communities.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Magro expressed gratitude for the Patriarch’s support throughout his tenure, saying Lebanon would always hold a special place in his heart and that he would leave with lasting memories of its people and rich cultural diversity. The meeting also highlighted the longstanding ties between Lebanon and France, the role of the Lebanese community in France, and the Maronite Church’s efforts to preserve the spiritual and national identity of the diaspora.
Rahi wished Magro success in his future assignments, while the ambassador thanked the Patriarch for the warm hospitality he had received throughout his mission.
