MAWLAWI RECEIVES PHONE CALL FROM KUWAITI COUNTERPART, STRESSES NO DIFFICULTIES CAN UNDERMINE GOODWILL TO PROTECT OUR ARAB SOCIETIES

Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi, on Thursday received a phone call from Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, where they dwelt on the joint security dossiers, especially the security achievement in seizing the shipment of lemons, which contained quantities of Captagon pills that was en route to the State of Kuwait.

This was possible through the close cooperation between the criminal security sector in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior and the Lebanese security services.

During the phone call, Minister Mawlawi underlined his keenness to “ensure the security and stability of the sisterly State of Kuwait.”

He said, “no difficulties can stand in the face of goodwill to protect our Arab societies to which we belong by virtue of blood, brotherhood, and a common destiny.”

For his part, Sheikh Al-Sabah thanked Minister Mawlawi for the security endeavour through which the Lebanese security apparatuses managed to thwart the operation of exporting Captagon to Kuwait, conveying his country’s appreciation for the Lebanese Interior Ministry’s efforts in this context.

Both sides agreed on continuing security cooperation and exchanging information in the interest of the security of the two countries.
