Beirut: Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajar, on Thursday launched the Ministry's strategic plan for 2025-2028, during a ceremony held at the Ministry, in the presence of governors, general directors of the directorates and security and administrative agencies affiliated with the ministry, as well as a number of employees and the work team.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this plan is the first of its kind in the history of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities and marks a pivotal milestone in advancing administrative work and enhancing institutional performance, under the slogan: "A Ministry for All, Strengthening Security, Consolidating Democracy, and Promoting Local Governance."

Through this plan, the ministry seeks to preserve security and stability, strengthen state authority and the rule of law across all Lebanese territories, consolidate democratic practices, empower local authorities, ensure governance that meets the needs of citizens and residents, and provide efficient public services characterized by transparency and accountability.

Following the national anthem, Minister Hajjar delivered a speech in which he affirmed that "work on preparing the strategic plan began on the very first day he took office at the ministry, and then the mechanism to implement some of the projects included in it was launched." Hajjar added: "The ministry is working on all the axes despite daily concerns and the political, security, and electoral challenges."

The Minister added: "Today, we are unveiling the 2025-2028 strategic plan for the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, reaffirming what we declared when assuming our duties at this ministry on February 11, 2025: that we pledge to ourselves and to the beloved citizens of our country to work tirelessly and relentlessly to fulfill the people's rightful demand for security and stability."

Hajjar said: "With this plan, we are setting a clear course of action for all directorates and departments of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, to follow its guidance and develop their own plans for the coming years, in a way that serves the goal of building the state and its institutions to meet the expectations of the Lebanese citizen, who always and forever remains the central focus and ultimate aim of public policies."
