Minister Morcos Conveys Media Outlets’ Proposals to Parliament


Beirut: Minister of Information, Attorney Dr. Paul Morcos, arrived early at Parliament to meet with a number of parliamentary figures to convey proposals he had recently received from journalists and media outlets regarding the draft Media Law, with a view to incorporating them into the legislation.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Dr. Morcos’s visit was aimed at discussing the integration of these proposals into the current draft of the Media Law. The proposals, which reflect the concerns and suggestions of various media professionals, are considered crucial for ensuring that the legislation aligns with the needs and realities of the media industry. Dr. Morcos emphasized the importance of collaboration between lawmakers and media representatives to create a law that supports both freedom of expression and responsible journalism.
