Beirut: Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received UN Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific in the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Mr. Khaled Khiari. The meeting focused on discussing practical steps for the implementation of international resolutions, particularly Resolution 1701, and the anticipated role of the United Nations in Lebanon in the near future.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between Lebanon and the United Nations to ensure the effective application of Resolution 1701. The resolution, which was adopted to address various aspects of peace and security in the region, remains a crucial component of Lebanon’s international engagements.
