MINISTER OF ECONOMY URGES REDUCTION OF PRICES IN LINE WITH DROPPING USD EXCHANGE RATE

Caretaker Minister of Economy and Trade, Raoul Nehme, on Monday urged importers and owners of commercial establishments to adjust and reduce the prices of commodities before tomorrow morning in line with the significant drop in the USD exchange rate.

“The continued manipulation of prices will subject importers and traders to some harsh penalties. The Consumer Protection Directorate teams will continue their monitoring tours based on the laws in force to protect consumers,” he added.
