Beirut: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced it has begun maintenance and rehabilitation works on the coastal highway linking Beirut, Jounieh, Batroun, and Tripoli. The focus is on the eastbound section between Amchit and Madfoun, as part of its national “Lebanon on Track” plan to enhance road safety and infrastructure quality.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the works are expected to last 10 days starting Wednesday, April 22, 2026. The ministry has urged motorists to follow Internal Security Forces instructions, respect on-site signage, and cooperate to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety throughout the project.
