Beirut: Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, on Wednesday received UNDP Resident Representative Blerta Aliko at his office, in a courtesy visit reaffirming continued cooperation between the UNDP and the ministry, particularly in supporting the Ministry of Information and T©l© Liban.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Morcos also met with a delegation from the ‘Towards Salvation’ initiative, including journalist Mohammad Barakat, Dr. Hadi Mourad, and legal expert Jessica Helani. The delegation briefed him on recent assaults against some of their members. They urged Minister Morcos to advocate for stronger protection for journalists and political activists appearing in the media.

Additionally, the delegation invited Minister Morcos to a book-signing event for three publications by members of the initiative, scheduled for the 25th of this month.
