Beirut: Information Minister, Paul Morcos, on Friday said Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, stressed the need to maintain and strengthen the state's presence in centers hosting displaced people. Morcos spoke after the daily ministerial meeting held at the Grand Serail and chaired by Salam with several ministers to review the needs of displaced families and relief operations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam emphasized that these centers should remain under the direct supervision and management of the Social Affairs Ministry and the Education Ministry, in coordination with other relevant authorities. The prime minister also stressed the importance of regular government visits by concerned ministers to the centers, as well as the continued provision of security protection and humanitarian, health and supply assistance.

Morcos added that food supplies and fuel remain available and continue to flow into the market, noting that the main concern at this stage is addressing rising prices.
