Caretaker Culture Minister Abbas Mortada contacted Saturday painter Bernard Reno, expressing “his deep regret for the disaster that befell him as a result of the fire that broke out in his Gemmayzeh atelier, destroying his treasured creative art pieces and also injuring him personally.”
Mortada pledged his support to artist Reno, “who is considered one of the pillars of art painting in Lebanon, and a remarkable symbol of contemporary renaissance in the world of Lebanese, Arab and international fine arts,” stressing his readiness to provide Reno with all possible help to continue with his creativity.
