Tripoli:MP Ihab Matar hosted Australian Ambassador Tom Wilson on a tour of the city's historic and tourist landmarks, which included the citadel, old souks, Grand Mansouri Mosque, Rashid Karami International Fair, and Mina's offshore islands.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, a luncheon attended by officials and local figures followed the tour. During the event, Matar praised Australia's development initiatives in North Lebanon and advocated for stronger bilateral ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Wilson emphasized the longstanding bonds between Tripoli and Australia, noting over a century of Lebanese migration and describing the community's integration as a success story. He also committed to further strengthening relations during his diplomatic tenure.
