Beirut: Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, has departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, upon an invitation from the Royal Protocol.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mufti Derian expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts and its ongoing work to facilitate and ease the performance of the pilgrimage for pilgrims. He extended his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi government for the care they provide to pilgrims.
In his absence, Mufti Derian has assigned the Fatwa Secretary of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Amin Al-Kurdi, to lead the Eid al-Adha prayer and deliver the sermon at the Mohammed Al-Amin Mosque in downtown Beirut. The prayer is scheduled to take place at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27.
