Mufti Deriane Discusses Economic Situation with Economy Minister

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the minister highlighted a slight improvement in the economic situation, notably with the return of expatriates during the summer season, while acknowledging the persistent challenges. He also noted that efforts to facilitate exports to Saudi Arabia are progressing positively.

Regarding the cost of living, Mr. Bsat stated that the decrease in fuel oil prices should gradually affect the prices of electricity, fuels, and transportation in the coming weeks.

Mufti Deriane, for his part, emphasized the need to strengthen social protection for citizens. Furthermore, he met with deputies Abdel Aziz Samad and Mohammad Sleiman, who discussed the issue of general amnesty and the political situation following the ceasefire, calling for strengthened stability and the return of displaced individuals.
