Beirut: Beirut Port Chairman and Director General, Marwan Naffi, on Thursday received French Presidential Envoy for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) G©rard Mestrallet, with whom he discussed the port's prospective role in the regional trade initiative.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, following a site tour, Naffi outlined progress in infrastructure rehabilitation, enhanced operational readiness, and strengthened supply chain efficiency to align with the proposed maritime-rail corridor.

He also presented a strategic vision to position Beirut Port as a pivotal logistics hub along the India-Middle East-Europe route.

The visit comes within ongoing efforts to advance IMEC, aimed at reshaping trade flows through integrated maritime and rail connectivity.
