Louaize: Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), A.N. Boukather Group (ANB), and Layer10 have entered into a strategic partnership agreement in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The signing took place during a ceremony at NDU’s main campus and marks an important collaboration aimed at enhancing AI education and application.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the agreement seeks to bridge academia and industry by creating a practical training program that connects NDU students with ANB and Layer10’s professional environments. This initiative is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in AI, aligning with market demands and enhancing their job readiness. The partnership is part of a broader strategy to foster cooperation between universities and the private sector, particularly in AI applications for automotive distribution and maintenance.
Under this partnership, selected NDU students will participate in full-time internships at ANB and Layer10, working on AI projects focused on automation, data engineering, and other applications in the automotive industry. ANB will offer mentorship and logistical support, while Layer10 will provide technical supervision and professional development programs. Students will be chosen based on academic excellence and enrollment in relevant fields such as engineering and computer science.
Reverend Father Bechara Khoury, President of NDU, highlighted the importance of integrating students into real-world professional environments and emphasized the university’s commitment to providing educational and professional opportunities that align with ethical values. He underscored the role of partnerships in preparing students for the labor market.
Mr. Nicolas Boukather, Chairman of ANB, discussed the company’s history and stressed the importance of collaboration between academia and the private sector in adopting AI and enhancing competitiveness. He noted that the partnership with NDU is a strategic choice based on the university’s investments in AI and the quality of its students.
Mr. Carl Nehme, CEO of Layer10, expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with NDU and highlighted the potential of the partnership to prepare the next generation of AI specialists.
