Netanyahu Instructs Government to Initiate Direct Talks with Lebanon

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed his government to commence direct negotiations with Lebanon soon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Netanyahu emphasized that the discussions with Lebanon will concentrate on disarming Hezbollah and fostering peaceful relations between the two nations. The announcement also highlighted Israel's recognition of the Lebanese Prime Minister's recent call to transform Beirut into a demilitarized city.
