Netanyahu: No More Free Food in Gaza

Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that Hamas will no longer receive aid supplies or a ceasefire without the release of hostages, marking a shift from the previous phase of the agreement.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Netanyahu emphasized during the weekly government meeting that there will be “no more free food” in Gaza. He accused Hamas of seizing control of aid entering the region and using it for profit while mistreating civilians. This stance was reported by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

Netanyahu announced the cessation of aid to Gaza following the end of the initial phase of the agreement. While Israel aims to prolong the agreement, Hamas is pressing for the commencement of the second phase. Netanyahu warned of unspecified consequences if Hamas does not release the hostages.

The remarks by Netanyahu underscore the ongoing deadlock between Israel and Hamas concerning the renewal of a ceasefire.
