Beirut: Oil prices on Tuesday climbed to their highest level in a month on heightened tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, fueling concerns over global crude supplies and keeping investors focused on developments in the region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Brent crude rose nearly 2% to $84.98 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained 2.1% to $79.79 a barrel. Brent had posted its biggest daily gain since May 2020 in the previous session, reaching its highest level since Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding on June 17.
