Oil prices rise


Baghdad, Oil prices rose today, Tuesday, as Brent crude futures for June delivery recorded an increase of 46 cents, or 0.5 %, to reach $90.56 per barrel.

US crude futures for May delivery rose 43 cents, or 0.5 %, to $85.84 per barrel.

Oil prices ended Monday’s session lower.

In China, the world’s largest oil importer, official GDP figures scheduled for release today are expected to show growth slowing to 4.6 % on an annual basis from 5.2 % in the previous three months.

This would continue to put pressure on policymakers to unveil more economic stimulus measures that could boost oil prices.’
