Beirut: The Finance and Budget Committee, chaired by MP Ibrahim Kanaan, on Tuesday convened in the presence of Minister of Finance, Yassine Jaber, and Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar. The session focused on examining a proposed additional credit of LBP 2,010,000,000,000 in the state budget to fund a contribution to the Judges’ Mutual Aid Fund.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the committee also discussed a proposed fair settlement for end-of-service indemnities under the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). Additionally, a draft law was reviewed, which aims to grant exemptions from taxes, fees, and related deadlines for individuals affected by the Israeli war on Lebanon.
