Beirut:Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam met with U.S. Senator James Lankford at the Grand Serail, joined by U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa and other delegates.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on developments in Lebanon and the region, especially in the south, and the progress of the trilateral framework's implementation. Prime Minister Salam emphasized establishing a clear timeline for mutual commitments and a verification mechanism, adhering to reciprocity and a phased approach.

Additionally, the discussions highlighted the need for continued U.S. support for the Lebanese Army to ensure it can fulfill its duties and extend state authority throughout Lebanon. They also talked about support for return, recovery, and reconstruction efforts in war-affected areas.
